Al Sabo Nature Preserve | Kalamazoo, Michigan

 

This past fall, John and I had the opportunity to travel over to the west side of Michigan for Amanda + Doug’s engagement session! It’s perfect because John grew up in Kalamazoo, so every time we have a session or wedding on that side of the state, we get to see his family! Double win! 🙂

Amanda and Doug decided to do a morning sunrise session, and I am SO thrilled they did!! We met up at Al Sabo Nature Preserve early, right as the sun was peeking over the horizon. We hiked for what felt like miles of trails, until we came upon the most perfect meadow and one giant tree! It was stunning! The morning sun glistened on the dew and the light rays streamed down creating the most beautiful golden light! A photographer’s dream!!! Then, we adventured some more around the preserve – especially in the incredible woods there!  

Amanda and Doug are some of the most friendly, down-to-earth people you’ll ever meet! They were so happily in love and it was so easy to capture them enjoying each other’s company and having fun together in this stage of their lives! We couldn’t be happier to watch as these two start their life together and become husband and wife in August!
