I’m so excited to finally be blogging this gorgeous wintery, luxe wedding inspiration shoot! Last December, a group of Metro Detroit photographers put our heads together and decided to create a beautiful styled photo shoot for our portfolios, to have fun together, to meet and make new friends, and to collaborate on something we all adore! True #communityovercompetition! The incredibly talented Alora Rachelle set up and coordinated the day, and so many amazing vendors donated their time and work to help bring this magical shoot to life!
It really is something special to be able to work alongside other photographer friends to create something beautiful. And for me, one of the BEST parts of the day was that our bride modeled MY OWN WEDDING DRESS!!! YES, this is the dress I married in almost 3 years ago!! I love it so much, and it was amazing to be able to capture photos of it and use it again after my wedding day (because… real talk, it was still hanging in my closet..!!).
The pastel color scheme, the soft watercolor stationery, the breathtaking florals – each and every detail was carefully handcrafted to fit the rustic-glam style. And can we just talk about the cake?! WOW.
Also, this shoot was featured on Lea-Ann Belter’s bridal blog, so definitely feel free to check that out too! http://lea-annbelter.com/luxe-and-wintery-editorial-jemma/
