Matt and Daltyn's wedding day was as colorful, fun, and bubbly as the two of them! Their mid-May day sparkled with sunshine and a crisp springtime breeze. Set at the beautiful MillCreek Wilde Barn in Watervliet, Michigan, their venue was the perfect mix of rustic elegance and whimsical romance! These high-school sweethearts planned their day around a gorgeous color scheme of navy and coral, and decorated their venue with literally hundreds of succulents, lanterns, and twinkle lights! The wooden box centerpieces were even handmade by the groom!
But that's not all, their entire day was filled with so many unique details! After each of their four adorable Grandmothers floated down the aisle as "flower girls", the bride and groom spoke handwritten vows to one another under a beautiful arch! Later, guests enjoyed a delicious Mac n' Cheese bar, local donuts for dessert, custom cocktails, and danced the night away! To top it off, Daltyn and Matt were sent off in epic style: through a tunnel of glow sticks to their antique getaway car, where they whisked away to enjoy an incredible honeymoon in Punta Cana!
Matt & Daltyn, it was such a joy to capture your absolutely lovely wedding day!
"Matt and Daltyn met when they were thirteen years old, however, it wasn't until their senior year that the two became close friends through the help of Daltyn's best friend (her maid-of-honor!). On the night of their senior prom, Matt asked Daltyn to be his girlfriend by gifting her a giant cookie with the question spelled out in nothing but her favorites: strawberry pull-apart Twizzlers and orange TicTacs!
In May 2015, Matt and Daltyn were traveling in Colorado for a post-grad vacation! As they were exploring a mountain town, they drove up into the mountains and witnessed the majestic Sangre de Cristo mountain range, where the mountain peaks were as high as the clouds. Matt spontaneously decided this moment was too perfect to let pass. While Daltyn looked out over the view, Matt set up his camera, secretly slipped the ring into his pocket, and on the majestic mountain top, asked Daltyn to be his wife."
