It's no secret that John and I LOVE to travel! Besides photography, it's one of our favorite things to do together! The best thing is, because so many of our #bethjoybrides and grooms live all over the United States, we are often able to travel to them for their engagement sessions! It's works out perfectly - our couples are photographed in the city they've fallen in love AND we get to visit and explore new places!!
Last summer, John and I had the incredible opportunity to travel to San Diego, California to capture Mary and Eric's engagement photography session! I had never been to California before, and it completely stole my heart! Mary and Eric planned an entire afternoon for all of us to explore San Diego together and it was SO much fun! First, we visited Balboa Park, the Spanish Village Art Center, and the San Diego Botanical Garden! These places were all so unique and artistic, and now I want to go back just so I can visit all the different museums and gorgeous grounds!
Next up was Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve! These two lovebirds were engaged near this area, so it was perfect to shoot their session here! Mary changed into the most lovely dusty blue gown, which matched perfectly with her pastel florals created by the incredible Native Poppy! We made it to the beach, dodged some gnarly waves, and had quite the adventure! :) LOVE when our couples are as crazy and excited to get "the shot" as us, and I don't think this day could have been more perfect! Just wait til you see their gorgeous wedding from this October!
